Individualized Care

Each resident is unique, with a meaningful and productive past which is recognized by our staff. We respect each individual’s dignity and privacy. The resident care plan is designed to promote independence. Residents are encouraged to engage in all of the activities of daily living and personal care to the extent their capabilities allow.

Safe and Active Living Environment

Safety is considered first as we enhance quality of life by encouraging a stimulating and active lifestyle. Each person is invited to participate to the highest level of his or her potential and interest. Programs utilize art, music and recreation as therapy.

Family Support

We view the resident and their family as part of the interdisciplinary team. Family members routinely attend annual and quarterly care plan meetings and are encouraged to visit regularly. Alzheimer’s disease can raise issues of anger, grief and loss among family members. Our psychologist and social worker meets with families to provide ongoing support. Family members may also participate in the Family Resident Council and support groups.

Respite Care

We also provide support and relief to families needing a break from the intense pressures of caregiving.

Family and Community Education and Support

An array of services are provided to families and individuals living in the community and to providers. These services include, but are not limited to, assessments, program development, education, support and consultation.
