Summer Internships for 2008

Black Mountain Center Foundation is announcing opportunities for summer internships with grant awards for students who are pursuing education in the field of health care, human services or public policy.

We are pleased to offer this program through the Felicite Fund.

The Felicite Fund honors a western North Carolina Citizen who demonstrated commitment to creating educational opportunities for minority and low income individuals and was especially concerned with women’s issues. This grant however, is not restricted in that manner.

Felicite Fund Educational Grants are awarded through a competitive process. Application is open to students who have or propose to have a learning relationship with Black Mountain Center. Initially, student applicants submit a letter of intent for the Fund Committee. Upon subsequent invitation of the committee, the student submits an application. The committee makes the selection of awardees, sets the grant amounts and oversees the learning experience.
