Course Title: Standard First Aid / CPR

Objective:
Standard First Aid Course is to provide people with the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency to call for help, to keep someone alive, to reduce pain and to minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives.

          Teach the skills of bleeding control
          Splinting
          Soft Tissue Injuries
          Injuries to bone, muscle and joints

Course Title: Behavior Management

Developmental Disability Behavioral Support Objective:
This 2-hour course describes the causes of behavioral problems in all of us, including people with developmental disabilities. The ethics of behavioral intervention are discussed. Principles of positive behavioral support are explained, and the six most common interventions for solving behavioral problems are explained and discussed, with applications.

Dementia Behavioral Support Objective:
This 2-hour course describes the causes of behavioral problems in people with dementia. The ethics of behavioral intervention are discussed. Principles of effective, respectful behavioral support are explained, and the two most powerful interventions are described, with applications.
